§ Mr. S. O. Daviesasked the Minister of Education whether, in view of the heavy expenditure necessitated by the full implementation of the 1944 Education Act, which cannot be borne by most local authorities, more generous financial assistance will be granted to them than the Act provides.
§ Miss WilkinsonRepresentations have been made to me on this question of Exchequer grants for education and I am arranging to meet representatives of local education authorities to discuss the matter.
