Mellorasked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether he is aware that, owing to the shortage of staff, through illness, sorting of the first post in the Members' Post Office, House of Commons, was not complete by 12.20 p.m. on Monday, 20th August; and whether he will provide additional staff as a margin against contingencies.
§ Mr. BurkeYes, Sir. The requisite adjustment of staff at the House of Commons Post Office has been made, and steps are being taken which will, I hope, prevent a recurrence of the trouble.
