§ Mr. DaltonI would refer my hon. Friend to Table 24 on page 29 of the latest issue of the White Paper on the National Income and Expenditure (Cmd. 6623). That Table shows, with explanations, the proportion of private income required to meet taxation for each year from 1938 to 1944.
