§ Sir S. CrippsThe total amount of Industrial floor space requisitioned during the war years, either for munitions production or storage purposes, was approximately 150,000,000 square feet. The total amount of industrial floor space in process of being returned to industry since VE-Day is about 8,000,000 square feet, of which approximately half had been vacated by the end of July, 1945.
