§ Mr. W. J. Brownasked the Minister of Labour what proportion of the personnel of a given class of work is required by him to be members of a given trade union before he holds that the union is representative of the class of worker concerned.
§ Mr. BevinI assume that the hon. Member refers to agreements under Article 2009W 2 (2) of the Conditions of Employment and National Arbitration Order. I would point out that the decision I have to take is whether any agreement made by organisations provides suitable means for settling the dispute referred to me, and this falls to be considered in the light of all the circumstances of the particular case.
