§ Mr. A. HendersonRelief supplies for North-West Europe are provided on a combined basis by the United States, United Kingdom and Canadian Governments to the Supreme Commander, General Eisenhower. The distribution of2002W these supplies is his responsibility, and I regret that it is not possible for me to give an analysis of the amounts supplied to individual countries or to state their values. I can, however, state that more than 435,000 tons of relief supplies, excluding coal and railway equipment, have been shipped from this country to North-West Europe between D-Day and 28th February last, including roughly 350,000 tons of food and 2,500 tons of medical supplies. These figures do not include the Civil Import programmes arranged by National Governments, which have been in operation now for some time.
