§ Mr. E. Granvilleasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps he has taken to prevent landlords of shops, factories and offices from considerably increasing the rent to be paid by existing or future tenants and in particular those who may be renewing their leases after they have improved the goodwill of their business.
§ Captain WaterhouseI am advised that the Rent Restrictions Acts do not apply to business premises except where they are used in connection with dwelling houses (for example, a shop and house above) and that there is no power of intervention in other cases.
