§ Captain Bullockasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware that the Order stating that parcels sent home from troops overseas which do not bear the concession duty free (A.F.W. 5192) label are now liable to Purchase Tax up to 100 per cent. as well as Customs duty, has 256W caused dissatisfaction amongst our troops in France and Belgium; and if he will ensure that it is permitted the troops to send home small parcels of presents to their families up to a certain value both duty free and free of Purchase Tax.
