§ Mr. Gallacherasked the Minister of Agriculture what plans have been made for dealing, after the war, with the land now farmed by war agricultural executive committees and with the agricultural machinery now controlled by these committees.
Mr. HudsonThese matters are under consideration. As regards land, I would refer the hon. Member to my statement on the Second Reading of the Agriculture (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill on 9th October, 1941. As regards agricultural machinery in the hands of committees, while it cannot yet be foreseen how long the present arrangements will continue any supplies that become available will be disposed of in accordance with the 1771W general principles and procedure set out in the White Paper on Government Surplus Stores (Cmd. 6539) published in July last.
