§ Mr. Barnesasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is able to state his reasons for establishing the camp for German prisoners of war in East Ham; whether he is aware that it is the cause of some anxiety locally; and whether he will secure other sites further removed from populated areas for this purpose.
§ Mr. A. HendersonThis camp was available at a time when temporary accommodation had to be found for a considerable influx of prisoners. They are, however, being moved to permanent accommodation before the end of this month.
