Major Lloyd GeorgeMy concern is with public utility undertakings supplying gas and electricity. As regards gas, I appointed some months ago a Committee of Inquiry into the structure and organisation of the gas industry, and until I receive their Report, I am not in a position to make any statement. As regards electricity, I have been discussing with the associations of the industry proposals which they have put forward for the postwar period, but the Government have not yet reached any decision on the matter.
