(2) if he will appoint a water power resources committee; ask for a report upon the utilisation of tidal power and other water supplies that could be harnessed for hydro-electric power production and make a special investigation of the Conway, Mersey, Dee, Solway, Humber and Thames.
Major Lloyd GeorgeInvestigation into hydro-electric resources is proceeding in the North of Scotland, North Wales and in connection with a Severn Barrage. I 761W am hoping very shortly to receive the report of the Committee on the latter scheme. Until that is received and a decision reached, it would, I think, be premature to consider the appointment of a general water power resources Committee.
