§ Mr. Parkerasked the Prime Minister whether the proposed war gratuities will be credited to the estate of battle casualties and made payable to next of kin.
§ The Prime MinisterWhen a life is lost the war gratuity otherwise payable will not be withheld on that account. Whether or not it would be properly payable to the next of kin would depend on the terms of any will made by the deceased officer or man.
