§ Mr. R. C. Morrisonasked the Minister of Works whether, in drawing up designs for kitchens for post-war houses, attention has been given to the desirability of providing forced extraction of fumes and cooking odours, having regard to the necessity of maintaining adequate ventilation and preventing condensation in kitchens of small size.
§ Mr. SandysYes, Sir. The matter has been carefully considered; but it has been decided that the provision of exhaust fans is not required in a properly planned kitchen and would add unnecessarily to the initial and running costs.
