§ Sir W. Smithersasked the Minister of Works why no building licence has been granted in the case of Mr. Frederick Brown, details of which have been sent to him; and will he give the reasons for the delay in dealing with this application, the granting of which is urgently needed in a bombed area.
§ Mr. SandysThe necessary certificate of registration has now been issued to Mr. Frederick Brown. The grant of certificates has lately been somewhat delayed pending reconsideration of the general position by the Committee referred to by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Secretary in reply to a Question by the hon. Member for Balham and Tooting (Mr. Doland) on 6th July, of which I am sending him a copy.
