§ Sir L. Boyceasked the Minister of Labour since the rapid transition of industry from war to peace will depend on pre-war knowledge and experience, what arrangements are being made for the release of key men for whom there are no substitutes.
§ Mr. BevinI am in close touch with my right hon. Friend the President of the Board of Trade as to the civilian industries and services to which key workers should be allowed to return when possible, but my hon. Friend will appreciate that, where release in concerned, the claims of the Armed Forces and of war industry remain paramount.
