§ Sir J. AndersonI am afraid that I cannot make exceptional arrangements such as my hon. Friend suggests. As my predecessor explained in reply to a similar question by my hon. Friend the Member for South Dorset (Viscount Hinchingbrooke) on 19th January, 1943, it is of the essence of the scheme for Income Tax post-war credits that the tax put to the post-war credit should no be made available to the taxpayer until after the war.
