Mr. De la Bèreasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Works whether in connection with the lay-out of the first factory-made house, the prototype of 500,000, which is now on inspection at Millbank, favourable consideration will be given to the alteration in position of the gas-meter which at present occupies the whole cupboard under the sink; and if he will consider placing these meters outside the dwelling altogether.
