§ Mr. ButlerThe regional officers appointed by C.E.M.A. are carefully chosen by a panel of the Council and its Directors, which meets to interview candidates for vacancies. Each regional officer must have expert knowledge of one branch of the work, music, painting or drama; combined with administrative experience. Most of those at present on the staff have had previous experience of C.E.M.A. work as artists or as independent organisers. The Council has not, so far, advertised vacant posts in the Press, although it may find it desirable to do so at a later date.
