§ Sir I. Fraserasked the Minister of Health if he can give an assurance that in his proposed legislation on the National Health Service he will not adversely affect existing private practices of masseurs and physiotherapists, or prejudice private practice in the future.
§ Mr. WillinkThe aid of masseurs and physiotherapists will be required in the new comprehensive service and the total demand on their services is thus likely to be considerably increased. Whether private practice in these specialities will be diminished I cannot say, but I can assure my hon. and gallant Friend that there will be no interference with the right to give or receive private treatment.
