Mr. De la Bèreasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will confer with the Minister of Information and the Minister of Food with a view to widening the publicity on farming matters to the general public to enable them to understand and appreciate the position of farming throughout the country, with special emphasis on the subsidies which are a means of reducing costs to the consumer and are frequently not beneficial to the farmer.
Mr. HudsonWe actively encourage publicity for agriculture and it is probably true to say that in the past year or two farming has received more attention in the Press and on the wireless than ever before.
