§ Sir I. Alberyasked the Minister of Health what number of new houses and flats he is planning to construct and complete within the first and second years after the termination of the war in Europe.
§ Mr. WillinkI am not yet able to give the information asked for, but I can assure my hon. Friend that my colleagues and I are hard at work assessing the many and complicated factors relating to labour and materials which have to be taken into account and that an announcement will be made as soon as possible.
§ Sir I. Alberyasked the Minister of Health if he has any estimate showing the approximate number of new houses and flats which would be required for an adequate housing policy if the war in Europe ended during 1944.
§ Mr. WillinkI would refer my hon. Friend to the answer, of which I am sending him a copy, which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for Linlithgow (Mr. Mathers) on 30th November last.
