§ Captain Pluggeasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can state the periods for which air bases have been leased by British Colonies to the U.S.A.; and whether these are regarded as satisfactory by both parties.
§ Colonel StanleyThe only air bases in the Colonies which have been leased to the United States Government are those in Bermuda, British Guiana and the West Indies. As provided in the exchange of notes dated 2nd September, 1940, these leases run for 99 years and neither party has suggested any alteration of that period.
