§ Mr. Tinkerasked the Minister of Health if he has considered a resolution passed by the urban district council of Atherton, Lancashire, that the care and welfare of the blind should in all respects be the subject of a national scheme and the full cost be borne by the State; and if he will state his intentions upon this subject.
§ Mr. WillinkI have received several resolutions to this effect. The care and welfare of the blind are among the matters dealt with in the Beveridge Report and the Government's proposals with respect to them will be included in the forthcoming White Paper.
