HC Deb 24 February 1944 vol 397 c989W
Mr. E. Walkden

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that many mineworkers in Doncaster and villages in South Yorkshire, due mainly to shortage of boot-repairers, have to wait from three to five weeks to get their pit boots repaired; and if he will cause inquiries to be made and see that substitute labour is provided where it is proved to be necessary.

Mr. E. Bevin

I am having inquiries made and will communicate with my hon. Friend.
