§ Mr. Burdenasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will introduce legislation requiring prison authorities to remove pregnant women, undergoing sentences in prison, to an institution, not attached to the prison, for the period of their confinement.
§ Mr. H. MorrisonI regret that I could not undertake to introduce legislation confined to this particular matter, but, as I stated in September last in reply to a Question by my hon. Friend the Member for Blackley (Mr. Lees-Jones), this question will be borne in mind when it is possible to introduce legislation dealing with prison matters generally.
