HC Deb 21 December 1944 vol 406 cc1979-80W
Sir A. Baillie

asked the Minister of Food whether it is the policy of his Department to advocate the payment by local authorities of a small sum of money for each rat killed; and to what extent effect is given to this policy.

Colonel Llewellin

No, Sir, it is not the policy of my Department to advocate payment by local authorities for each rat killed. I am aware that some local authorities adopt such a system of payment, but I am not in a position to state to what extent.
