HC Deb 21 December 1944 vol 406 c1983W
Mr. De la Bère

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will make arrangements for the importation of Italian queen bees to assist the beekeepers throughout the country with a view to the increased production of honey at the earliest possible date; and whether he will review the whole question of the registration of bee-keepers with a view to securing increased efficiency and satisfaction to all concerned.

Mr. T. Williams

Encouragement has been given to the rearing of queen bees in this country, and my right hon. Friend does not anticipate any need for the importation of Italian queen bees. The answer to the second part of the Question is, "Yes, Sir."
