§ Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies on what lines it is proposed to reconstitute the Freetown Municipal Council; what functions and powers it will posses; whether all its members will be elected; and the scope and nature of the electoral franchise.
§ Colonel StanleyI have not yet received from the Governor particulars of the proposals for reorganising the Freetown City Council, but I understand that it is intended that there should be an unofficial majority. It is hoped that the Bill to give effect to the Governor's proposals will be published early in 1945.
