§ Mr. Hoggasked the Minister of Health what he has done in response to the request from the Radcliffe Infirmary, Oxford, for greater allocation of rubber operating gloves, in view of the large amount of major surgery undertaken by this institution.
§ Mr. WillinkI have very carefully considered the infirmary's request, but regret that I do not see my way to meeting it in existing circumstances. Heavy demands are likely to be made for surgeons' gloves during the coming months, and the existing supplies, which are, of course, scarce, must be conserved to the utmost possible extent.
