HC Deb 23 September 1943 vol 392 c432W
Mr. Rostron Duckworth

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food whether, in view of the failure of many of the public to take advantage of the vitamin scheme for children, he will put large notices in all provision shops and public-houses urging mothers to purchase those vitamins for the sake of the health of their children?

Mr. Mabane

My Noble Friend is eager to take every practicable step to encourage mothers to purchase the foods available under the vitamins scheme. Posters are provided for display in all food offices, maternity and child welfare clinics, welfare centres and food advice centres. Their use will be extended as far as the paper situation permits and in addition other publicity is being arranged.
