Civilians injured by Service aircraft in wartime are eligible for compensation under the Personal Injuries Scheme in common with those injured by Allied or enemy aircraft or suffering other forms of "war injury" and the Government are not aware of any general desire to abandon this principle.436W Civilians injured by Service road vehicles, not in the course of actual operations against the enemy, may be in a position to recover damages for negligence in a particular case, but are not of course eligible for compensation under the Scheme.
