§ Mr. Wakefieldasked the President of the Board of Trade what steps should be taken by a registered war charity to secure supplies of sports gear for distribution to men and women in His Majesty's Services, having regard to the provisions of the Emergency Powers (Defence) Sports Gear Order (S.R. & O., No. 908, of 1943)?
§ Captain WaterhouseBulk allocations of equipment for priority sports are made to the Service Departments who are entirely responsible for the distribution of supplies among all units of the Services. Supplies are strictly limited, and I regret that separate allocations cannot be made to any war charity. Registered war charities can assist men and women in the Ser-220W vices by offering to reimburse units for equipment that they may be authorised to purchase.
