§ Miss HorsbrughNo, Sir. The conditions in buildings of the type mentioned are not the responsibility of the Ministry of Health. As my hon. Friend is no doubt aware, however, under Section 25 (1) of the Housing Act, 1936, a local authority may include in a clearance area buildings other than houses which for the same reasons as justify the condemnation of the houses are dangerous or injurious to the health of the inhabitants of the area.
