§ Mr. R. Morganasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is aware that a disciplinary inquiry into the conduct of a senior inspector of taxes, an inspector of taxes and a tax officer, higher grade, was held by the Board of Inland Revenue between 10th and 17th August, 1943; why no decision has yet been reached on the result of this investigation; how he justifies such delay having regard to the gravity of the charges brought against these officers and the issues which are at stake when a verdict is reached; and when a decision is likely to be reached?
§ Sir J. AndersonI understand that the committee of inquiry in this case has reported and that their report is now under the consideration of the Board of Inland Revenue.
