HC Deb 20 October 1943 vol 392 c1393W
Mr. Kirby

asked the Minister of Health the estimated housing needs of Liverpool under the following headings: for families who had registered with the corporation for tenancies prior to the war, for families who have lost their homes as the result of enemy action, and for young couples married since the war commenced, respectively?

Miss Horsbrugh

In a memorandum submitted to my right hon. Friend last November when he received representatives of the city the housing needs under the first and third of the headings mentioned were estimated to be 14,000 and 1,000 respectively. For security reasons I am sending my hon. Friend the figure for the second heading.
