HC Deb 20 October 1943 vol 392 cc1394-5W
Mr. Driberg

asked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether he is aware that plans have been prepared for the post-war enlargement of Croydon airport, such enlargement to involve the closing of a main road and the taking over of playing-fields; and whether the location of airports generally is being considered by his Department in relation to the needs of business and residential areas, respectively?

Mr. H. Strauss

My right hon. Friend has no knowledge of the plans to which the hon. Member refers beyond what has appeared in the Press. The location of airports generally is being considered by the Air Ministry and my Department.
