HC Deb 19 October 1943 vol 392 c1236W
Mr. Boothby

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether any agreement in principle has been reached as a result of the discussions on currency which have recently taken place in Washington?

Sir J. Anderson

The conversations on post-war currency proposals have had valuable results in explaining the respective lines of approach of the British and American Treasuries, and in clearing up certain differences. No question of agreement arises until His Majesty's Government have considered the matter. There must also be at the appropriate time and in the appropriate manner further consideration by experts of the United Nations.
