HC Deb 19 October 1943 vol 392 c1225W
Mr. Groves

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that, notwithstanding the orders that retailers must not sell fountain pens in excess of 17s. 6d., advertisements appear weekly offering such goods at £4 and whether, as these cases are obviously cases of profiteering, he will institute inquiries and take the necessary prohibitive action?

Mr. Dalton

If my hon. Friend will let me have particulars of the advertisements to which he refers, I will have inquiries made at once.
