HC Deb 14 October 1943 vol 392 c1086W
Sir R. Glyn

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can make any statement regarding British relations with Italy, especially in respect of Italian prisoners of war in this country and their present status?

Mr. George Hall

As regards the first part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the declaration issued yesterday after the Italian declaration of war on Germany, on behalf of the Governments of the United Kingdom, the United States and the Soviet Union, to which I have nothing to add. The status of Italian prisoners of war in Allied hands is receiving careful consideration.
