§ Mr. Leachasked the Minister of Agriculture whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that over l00 packs of hounds are arranging to carry on hunting during the coming season involving large expenditure of money, special food for the dogs and time of personnel; that damage to crops and fences is entailed and, since this constitutes a squandering of national resources, if he will take steps to prohibit all such activities for the duration of the war?
Mr. HudsonI am satisfied that the prohibition of hunting is not necessary in the national interest.
