HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 c891W
Mr. Craven-Ellis

asked the Minister without Portfolio whether he will consider issuing an interim report on the problems of resettlement in peace-time employment of persons demobilised from the Forces and from war industries, which is having the attention of several Government Departments concerned under the general direction of the Ministerial Committee on Reconstruction Problems?

Sir W. Jowitt

No, Sir. The question of the resettlement of labour in peacetime employment has been considered by the Ministerial Committee on Reconstruction Problems, and my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour and National Service, who is the Minister primarily concerned with this matter, is now engaged in working out plans to deal with it.
