HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 cc902-3W
Mr. Mathers

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has considered the conditions prevailing at the leper institution, Nicosia, Cyprus; and whether action has been taken to remedy grievances and punish those responsible?

Mr. Emrys-Evans

I would refer to the reply given yesterday to the hon. and learned Member for Hammersmith (Mr. Pritt) that the Governor of Cyprus has been asked for a report on this subject. My right hon. and gallant Friend will communicate with the hon. Member as soon as the information is available.
