HC Deb 13 October 1943 vol 392 c890W
Sir I. Albery

asked the Minister of Information if his attention has been drawn to the broadcast made after the 9.45 p.m. overseas news by "The Man in the Street" on 1st October; and whether he will take steps to ensure that such broadcasts of a controversial nature, and damaging to the prestige and unity of this country, shall not be made in future?

Mr. Bracken

When I read the script of this broadcast it struck me that it might have been better phrased. It is one of the inevitable exceptions that prove the rule that the most of the B.B.C.'s broadcasts are good.
