HC Deb 30 November 1943 vol 395 cc219-20W
Mr. Ness Edwards

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that Private William Logan, of 2nd Monmouthshire Home Guard, who is away from his home at Llanbradach 12 hours each day on important war work, is aged 58 years and served 3½ years in the last war, was fined at the Chepstow Court the sum of 20s. for absence from one Home Guard parade; and whether he will consider relaxing the requirement for parades in cases like this?

Sir J. Grigg

On the general question raised by my hon. Friend I would refer him to the answer I gave to-day to my hon. Friend the Member for Mansfield (Mr. B. Taylor). A report has been called for on the individual case referred to by my hon. Friend.
