§ Sir W. Davisonasked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to statements made by prisoners of war recently released from prisoners-of-war camps in Italy, to the effect that they were rationed on the lowest possible scale, that of unemployed civilians; and, as Italy is a signatory to the Geneva Convention, which provides that the diet of prisoners of war shall not be inferior to that of garrison troops in the country where they are located, whether representations will be made with regard to the above through the Protecting Power and as to the rationing of British prisoners of war still confined in Italy?
