HC Deb 30 March 1943 vol 388 c60W
Sir H. Morris-Jones

asked the Home Secretary what proportion of the moneys controlled by the Welsh Church Commission, which have been or will be allocated to the Denbighshire County Council, is attributable to, or derived from, the parishes of Llansantfraidd, Glyn Ceiriog, Glyn Tyaian, Llanarmon, Dyffryn Ceiriog, the former civil parish of Llangadwaladr, and the former township of Rhiwlas, Uwchyfoel, in the parish of Llansilin?

Mr. H. Morrison

I regret that the Welsh Church Commission is not in a position to give the parochial origin of the assets transferred by them to county and county borough councils in Wales for reasons which were explained in a memorandum issued in December last to the local authorities concerned. I will send the hon. Member a copy of this memorandum and of a Home Office circular dealing with the same subject. If he desires any further explanation of the position the Welsh Church Commissioners will be glad to discuss the matter with him.
