§ Mr. Molsonasked the Minister of Health how many tubercular cases are awaiting admission to a sanatorium in Derbyshire; and what steps are being taken to increase the number of beds available?
§ Mr. E. BrownThe number of cases of pulmonary tuberculosis awaiting admission to the Derbyshire sanatorium as at 19th March was 30. Of these six had then been on the waiting list less than ten days and none more than 45 days, the average1784W waiting period being about three weeks. Reports received from the county medical officer suggest no immediate necessity to increase the number of beds available, the 137 beds at the sanatorium being supplemented by accommodation, if required, at seven other institutions which I understand there is little occasion to use.
