HC Deb 11 March 1943 vol 387 cc880-1W
Mr. Granville

asked the Minister of Supply whether he will make arrangements for the collection of the salvage dump at Saxmundham, Suffolk, which contains rubber and other materials for which urgent appeals have been made?

Sir A. Duncan

The clearance of this dump was started in September last but had to be temporarily suspended as the transport employed was required for the urgent removal of sugar beet. The work was restarted in December and clearances have since been made at monthly intervals. Further clearances will be made from time to time, as the material is sorted.
