§ Mr. S. O. Daviesasked the Minister of Fuel and Power, in view of the importance attached to the development of the miners' medical service in the various coalfields, whether he will publish at an early date the report of the Inter-Depart- 562W mental Committee or arrange for the full summary of the Committee's proposals to be made accessible to Members of Parliament?
Major Lloyd GeorgeThe report in question was a report made to me by a number of officials of different Departments under the chairmanship of my hon. Friend the Joint Parliamentary Secretary. I can see no reason for departing from the usual rule that such reports to Ministers are confidential. The report was fully summarised by the Joint Parliamentary Secretary in his statement to the House on 1st October, and I do not think any summary which I might issue would be an improvement on that statement.
